Re: My GP for 2011
Yes they are. They've been there a few times as one of the support races. This year they are having two cars that have never been there before. Mario's Lotus 79 and James Hunt's McLaren from his championship year...I forget the model.

Re: My GP for 2011
Montreal for the umpteenth time. Got to experience Monza last year which was great but in some ways makes me appreciate Montreal even more. For one thing the whole atmosphere in Montreal is so festive during the Grand Prix weekend....nothing like that in Milan at least. Also getting to the track in ...

Re: Best ever engine note/sound
Does anyone have a recording of the Lamborghini V-12? I remember hearing it in the early '90s at Montreal and I thought it sounded even cooler than the Ferrari. I think it was used by Larrousse as well as the factory Lambo team. I also recall the Lamborghini F1 car looked cool as hell, but was quite...

Re: My GP for 2010
I'm not renting a car so no fear of driving to the track. I plan on taking the train from Milan and then the bus to the track. I understand it is a very long walk from the entrance to the Park to the actual track.

We will be pretty close....our tickets are in 6b. Do you know if there is a special gate for getting to the inside of the track?JoostLamers wrote:It's going to be Monza! 3 Days probably at Grandstand 6a, which is a very good spot IMO!

Re: Race Day Tips
Is there any freebies when you watch a grandprix? like free caps, die cast model, tshirts etc.. I've never been into any race, i only watch at home. :( Sorry to disappoint but nothing surrounding F1 is free. Be prepared to spend a lot if you are into souvenirs. That said, I did pick up some rolled up...

Re: My GP for 2010
I've ordered my tickets for Monza, booked a hotel in Milan, and have my airline tickets, so I'm all set. I understand Milan has lots of F1 themed events during the weekend. I would appreciate any information any one has about them.

Re: My GP for 2010
Yes, that's for all three days. The tickets are on the inside of the first chicane.....I forget the Italian name. Middle grandstand IRC. Nice to know you can move around on Friday and Saturday. In Montreal you have to sit in your assigned seat all three days.

Re: My GP for 2010
Well, that's quite an investment.. Where are you from? Europe? If you are referring to me, I'm from the States...Chicago. We have been going to Montreal for probably 20 years. As far as Monza, we were going on a trip to Italy and figured why not base it around the Grand Prix. As far as the investme...

Re: My GP for 2010
Well, I'm pretty much all set for Monza and Montreal. I have tickets and a hotel in Milan for Monza and a hotel for Montreal and I'm just waiting for these tickets to become available. I've been to Montreal many times, but never to Monza. I would love some tips getting to and from the track in Italy...

Re: Best f1 race ever
I've been following F1 since the sixties and really the last 10 to 15 years have been some of the worst. Every once in a while we'll get a nice exciting race, but usually it is caused by usual circumstances. Rain, some nut out on the track, big pile up like Spa '98. I think the rule change in 1998 t...

Re: Paul Ricard ever make a comeback to F1?
From what I understand this is the last year for Magny Cour. It would be a shame to not have a French Grand Prix since France is where Grand Prix racing started. I agree that Paul Ricard would have to be favored. It's a great track, even with the shortened Mistral straight, with a much better locati...
