Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
As I wrote we see it differently. Lotto is about money, it is all about money. More you put money in bigger your changes to win becomes. Common with F1 is that you hardly get your investment ever back. That is, if you are a team in F1 you hardly get you investment back as money. I don't think money ...

Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
Fangio's career was funded by the Argentine government. Lauda had to take out a massive loan. Schumacher scrambled $150,000 for his Jordan debut. So. That doesn't make F1 about money. We see it differently. Enzo Ferrari did not get into motorsport because of money but because he lived for racing. F...

Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
The sport is better now than it has been. Well, maybe 5 years ago was better. Because of huge budgeted manufacturer teams. F1 has always been about money. No it has not been and it is not. Lotto is and has been about money. If it were, Toyota would have won CWC and WDC. In eight years they put clos...

Re: Pre-Season Testing 2013
Mercedes board might be thinking they are wasting money. They doesn't seem to be too keen on F1.

Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
Maybe Caterham is such a broke team that Giedo was the best compromise. He knows the team and brings money. When the money runs out he is out, unless of course he turns out to be something magnificent and a better team grabs him. His last change to make it into F1 since he is already 27.

Re: Pre-Season Testing 2013
Better find out problems now than on races. Mercedes can build even a new car if they want to. An other questions is what does the board of directors think if they keep wasting money without results

Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
Apparently both Petrov and Kovalainen are out from F1. MTV3 writes that Giedo van der Garde has made a deal with Caterham. http://www.mtv3.fi/urheilu/f1/uutiset.shtml/2013/02/1700653/kovalaisen-kohtalo-sinetoityi---caterham-valitsi-f1-kuskinsa (in Finnish) Giedo has also tweeted yesterday evening th...

Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
But lets take up the Bottas topic then. Toto Wolf was the team Executive Director of Williams (high seat). He is also deeply involved in managing Bottas career paths. Isn't it unfair to other drivers that one driver witch is good but not the best out there gets the seat just because the manager has...

So, now Wolff is also a shareholder of Mercedes F1 team. http://www.f1zone.net/news/mercedes-move-for-wolff-lauda-becomes-shareholder/17433/ Does he still own 16% of Williams or has he sold his shares? Toto will be relinquishing his seat on the Company’s Board of Directors but will retain his share...
