Re: Vettel, Webber and reliability at Red Bull
not including issues experienced in practice Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time. If a practice issue would directly affect qualifying or race (gearbox/engine penalty for instance), I would include it, but all the small KERS failures and what not would just make it too monstrous of an effor...

Vettel, Webber and reliability at Red Bull
The 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix marked the third race in a row that a Red Bull encountered mechanical issues; Mark Webber’s KERS failed during qualifying, and then Sebastian Vettel's KERS was stuttering due to overheating in the race. As this is the last year of the explosive pairing of Sebastian Vett...

Drivers passing their age in wins/poles/f-laps/podiums
Sebastian Vettel was not the only one to fill in his own record sheet at the 2013 German Grand Prix, winning his 30th Grand Prix, in his home country (1st time) and in July (1st time). Lewis Hamilton, at 28 years old, set his 29th pole position, surpassing his own age in pole positions. I had a look...

Re: Rumors of Red Bull using banned traction control
Such tire marks cannot be the undisputed proof that Red Bull is using some sort of a traction control device. In 1984-1985, the Michelin-shod F1 cars used to leave similar tire marks on the tarmac under powerful accelerations. Michelin’s Pierre Dupasquier explained at the time that the flexible sid...

Re: Rumors of Red Bull using banned traction control
Unless Mercedes also has traction control https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BM_mE4RCQAEwbeE.jpg I'll go with the experts on this: Craig Scarborough @ScarbsF1 Nope, its just drivetrain oscillation causing a momentary change in torque at the wheels. Matt Somerfield @SomersF1: Long winded answer: Slow spe...

Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
Not worth creating a topic for, but I thought this was interesting: Kimi interview (English Translated) by Sport Bild magazine in Germany. https://twitter.com/kimifanpage/status/327488254297378816 ... SB: He (Seb) is still being critized for ignoring team-orders in Malaysia. How would you have acted...

Consecutively outqualifying your teammate -stats and numbers
What happened to Felipe Massa late last year, only the Brazilian knows, but he seems to have regained his form, and since the United States Grand Prix in Austin, has been outqualifying Fernando Alonso. Although both drivers take it lightly, it is no doubt a boost of convidence for Felipe and topping...

Difference between Ham/But 2012; Lewis had 2 accidents and 4 mechanical faults to Buttons 2 faults. Webber had 2 accidents, Vettel had 2 accidents and mechanical faults totalling 4. Both Vet/Web had 10 podiums in which Webber had 4 and Vettel 5 wins. Lowest finishing points was 9th for Webber, 7th ...

Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
Webber in 2010, outscored Vettel until the last race. Ignore that fact if you want. Its there for all to see. If we go by your view, Ferrari cost Alonso the WDC in Canada, but you dont look at it like that because its about a season on the whole. Ofcourse, your may want to wash over the face He too...

Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
I think RB cost Webber the title in 2010. RB almost cost Vettel the title in 2010. Don't forget 3 race wins and even more points went down the drain due to mechanical failures. 2010 was a great year for Webber, and he was good, but no way was he better than Vettel. I don't think there are many peop...

Re: Team Orders
Oh. that it? Keep the 4 second gap, he was told. Why was this? To stop Webber overtaking Vettel even though he was faster. Webber didn't keep a gap. He went and showed everyone he could overtake but was being told not to. Webber still obeyed the team order of not overtaking Vettel. That's the point...
