Re: Medals to decide championship?
yes a driver would want points, lets say... example 1: you receive a penalty and experience dramas that put you way down the order, by half distance the chances for points are slim and if you were to make it, it would only be for 1 or 2... i would rather save my engine (since it has to last 3 weeken...

Re: 2009 FORMULA 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
today is friday, its almost 4:30pm and its 34oC at my house which is about 45mins from the track! last week was only about 18-22oC but very heavy rain (which was a welcome relief!) i think the forcast is for it to remain sunny... and by the looks of things it probably will... still, we're a whole we...

Re: Medals to decide championship?
another point that has come to mind.
if you are following the leader but are 30+ seconds behind... wouldint it make sense then to retire the car... save the engine and try again the next race.
this could lead to very disapointed fans!
what does everyone think?

Re: Medals to decide championship?
yes rachael, thats correct!
there are many silly outcomes that could occure, we just have to hope that they dont so that it makes racing more exciting!
not many of the drivers are supporting this new system! i hope they scrap it before melbourne, unfortunantly there isnt a lot of time.

yes, thats true metalhead188 but you have to remember all the freezes that were proposed for the 2010-2012 years back a few years ago.
that will tanke care of some of the expenses.

Re: Budget Cap Imposed by FIA - £30
i dont mind this so much, i think that perhaps the cap should be slightly increased but in exchange for technical freedom! thats excellent... just what formula 1 needs is technical freedom, sure it will take longer to develope and certainly it wont be easy when you have such a tight bugget but for s...

Re: Medals to decide championship?
i dont think more points need to be awarded... then youll end up with a V8 supercars style championship where the winner has 1200 points... too americanised! i think that it should go back to the 10-6-4-3-2-1 system... bring back the tradition! this idea about awarding the championship to the driver...

Re: Compare Kimi / Lewis in Montreal and Kimi / Sutil in Monaco
Being a hamilton fan i was gutted to see something so needless and silly to happen as that ( especialy as there was no need for the saftey car in the first place, Kimi shouldnt have realy been parked side by side with Kubica as you are not allowed to overtake in the pitlane or under safety car and ...

Re: Compare Kimi / Lewis in Montreal and Kimi / Sutil in Monaco
yeah, a bit silly to compare the two incidents with each other. like its been! but jsut for one thing, racing incident refers to a mutual accident that couldnt have been prevented during the racing laps. in the pitlane where cars where stationary? thats not a racing incident. to say that the FIA ste...

Re: 2008 RBS Grand Prix du Canada , Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
the tack breaking up was a bit of an issue, sure it might be a temporary track but still... does anyone know if they allow heavy vehicles on the track when it is not being used? here in melbourne certain vehicles are not allowed on the race track streets, only standard sized cars, motorbikes and cyc...
